Chess Team come a close second in Prep Schools tournament
The Handcross Park Chess Team had a wonderful day on saturday in the Brambletye Chess Tournament.
They beat Great Walstead (3-1), Ashdown HouseB (3-1), Brambletye (3-1), Cottesmore (4-0) but then lost to Ashdown House A (1-3) leaving the boys second out of six teams.
Joe Zazzaro-Francis was presented with a certificate for winning all his matches and Ross Clover got a special prize for winning four out of his five.
Samir Yep was brilliant on board one despite being jet-lagged and Miles Kotey won more than he lost on board four.
Congratulations go to all four boys.
