Handcross Park Pupils Making Music

MID-SUSSEX COMPETITIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL
Congratulations to all Handcross Park pupils competing in the Mid-Sussex Competitive Music Festival over this past week, especially to Alex Griffey who is performing in the Festival Showcase Concert this evening at Burgess Hill School for Girls and to Oliver Rogers for being awarded a cup for the most promising pianist under 10 years old.

The following positions were also awarded:

1st place Alex Griffey – Under 14 woodwind solo Elizabeth Learmonth – Under 13 jazz solo Samir Yep – Grade 5/6 solo violin Ross Clover – Junior brass recital James Rayward – Grade 3 solo brass

2nd place Handcross Park School Chapel Choir Samir Yep – Under 12 solo violin Elizabeth Learmonth – Under 13 woodwind solo Oliver Rogers – Age 7 solo piano equal with Angus Clover – Age 7 solo piano Oliver Rogers – Preliminary set piece Oliver Rogers and Roselly Hamlett – Junior piano duet, equal with
Emily and Eleanor Longman.

3rd place Samir Yep – Age 11 piano solo
